SRG Software Takes Profit Magazine’s
28th Fastest Growing Company Slot

Toronto, June 17, 1999... SRG Software, a leading client/server software design and consulting firm specializing in Microsoft architecture and technology solutions, is pleased to announce its debut to the 1999 Profit 100 list in 28th place. This accomplishment demonstrates that SRG Software has managed outstanding sales growth over five years, from 1994 through 1998. SRG generated over $5.6 million in 1998 sales and achieved a five-year sales growth of 2,872%. The Profit 100 list recognizes Canada's 100 fastest-growing companies.

"SRG is an excellent example of a Canadian technology company that’s been able to successfully develop custom solutions for major Canadian corporations,'' says Rick Spence, Publisher and Editor of Profit Magazine. "We praise the overall accomplishments of SRG Software as well as the company's determination to be a market leader."

Peter Suma founded SRG Software in 1992.

"The beginning was definitely a challenge, in terms of establishing credibility and financing. But we knew we had something unique to offer the marketplace, so we kept going." says Suma. SRG established a name for itself by providing corporate clients in the financial, utilities and telecommunications sectors with systems analysis, design and applications software development services.

In December 1998, Mississauga-based Financial Models Company Inc. ("FMC") approached SRG with a buyout offer. "They were looking for services to complement their product and we were looking for products that complemented our service," says Suma about FMC, which produces software for investment managers. "FMC is a publicly traded firm with an excellent international reputation and presence. Our alliance proved to be the optimum solution to our continued growth problems and to realizing our future strategic direction," says Suma. In March, SRG became a subsidiary of FMC, and is continuing under the name of FMC Software Consulting.

SRG is a leading provider of eCommerce, Internet, Intranet and client-server consulting and applications development services primarily using the Microsoft NT suite of enterprise technologies. SRG’s clients include many of the largest Canadian institutions in the financial, telecommunication and insurance sectors.

Established in 1976, FMC is a leading provider of software and services to the investment management industry. FMC's products are used by many prominent investment managers worldwide for both mission critical and decision support applications. FMC is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (Ticker: FMC).
